Well, instead of 14 hours, it took us 30. It was about midnight Saturday and, after a great ride on the car ferry (with Kiera helping to steer) the GPS was telling us we wouldn't arrive in Hilton Head until about 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning. So we decided to spend the night on the road, which was an adventure in and of itself. The next day, we got up and had breakfast at Crackerbarrell, and then drove through to Hilton Head, with one stop at a Chinese restaurant, where we changed the kids on an empty table and fed Liam some rice (and left a very big tip). The twins were amazing, with barely a peep until the last 10 miles. It was actually a pretty fun trip.
