This was a stay-close-to-home weekend, so we made a couple trips to the nearby NYU therapeutic garden, which has gardens, fish, turtles, thousands of birds, a rabbit and playground and is open to the public. The purpose of the garden and animals is a to provide therapy and a place where stroke victims as well as special needs children and burn victims can integrate with the community.
