Dad and mom arrived last Sunday to take care of the kids for 5 days while Steve and I went on vacation (yes, again), me to Napa to visit Heather and Steve to Florida to play golf. They came bearing gifts, including ANOTHER suitcase full of clothes for Liam and Kiera, toys, and the most incredible shoes. Liam and Kiera each got rain boots (who knew it would be easy to get Liam into boots if they looked like frogs), running shoes and sandals. The photo at top shows the shoes they DIDN'T bring - the size 8s for next year. During the visit, Liam and Kiera had a great trip to the zoo where they were entranced by the polar bears. They also went swimming a few times and came to expect lots of attention, as you can see from the photo of Kiera awaiting her next activity. The twins also ate for mom and dad, something we haven't figured out how to get them to do. They assured us the twins ate everything from canteloupe to asparagus to squash, which will definitely require a video not just a photo for us to believe it.

In the photo in which Kiera has sauce all over her face, that's the ravioli/marinara sauce. Liam wanted canteloupe and strawberries but then he ate the ravioli as well after he saw Kiera eating it.
These are the CUTEST pictures! My only problem is that in the first picture, I can't tell which shoes belong to which kid.... You're going to have to get mom to sew name tags on them! I can't believe how big they look in the ravioli picture - and they are as cute as ever.
