We survived the move, though just barely and with a few less breakable items than before, thanks to our "bargain" movers. We were worried that everything would fall through when our buyer showed up at 10 a.m. Thursday to what was supposed to be an "empty, broom swept" apartment to the reality of us only half moved out. However, he was very accommodating. We moved out, finalized the sale of our Manhattan apartment, completed the Brooklyn closing and moved in all on the same day. We had a beautiful fireworks display right in front of our apt the night we moved in and again over the weekend. The kids haven't missed a beat and are loving the extra space and the playground and waterpark right outside the door.
