Public transportation

After three nights of very high fevers (one recording: 106 degrees), Liam's temperature finally broke yesterday. The kids had cabin fever (Kiera even got in her own stroller), so we took them to Brooklyn for brunch. We moved our car to New Jersey, so took a taxi to Brooklyn, where we ate what must be the only restaurant in the city with a toy room inside. After lunch, we played in the Brooklyn Bridge park (where Liam in a nod to Uncle Byrd helmed his first boat -- a pirate's ship), walked across the bridge to Manhattan and took the kid's first subway ride home.
