On Saturday we headed to Darien, CT to visit Gary, Meg and Christian. The kids spent the first part of the visit in the backyard, where we realized Liam is a natural ball player. He immediately picked up the bat, seemed to know what to do with it, and was hitting balls like a pro (too many late night Yankee games with Steve?). In comparison, Kiera showed no interest in the bat, using it as cane, a baton, and mostly something to ignore. After the batting session, we went to a nearby beach for a pinic and some quality time on the playground.
