Our most "boring" afternoon ever

After our stop in Connecticut, we decided to stop by the Bronx Botanic Gardens, figuring it would have enough wide open space that the kids could burn off the rest of their excess energy. Despite a great kids adventure garden, where Liam and Kiera could smell and taste the plants, pot their own flowers and learn about pollination, they wanted a little less garden and a lot more adventure. They kept yelling "panda," "tiger," and "elephant" expecting to see animals at any minute. When that failed, they repeated "Elmo" and "Zoey" about 100 times, figuring there must be some other reason besides the plants that we were at the gardens. Finally, in desperation, Liam yelled "firetruck," hoping to see one appear magically. We told him he was overstimulated, a word he repeated incessantly for about an hour.
